Motorcycle Rental in Turkey: Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about price, licence, deposit, insurance, delivery and cancellation. The answers come from the same source as the rental terms and the live price list.

Price, duration and mileage
How much does it cost to rent a motorcycle per day?
Daily rental prices range from €40 to €250. The lowest price is for the Yamaha NEOS 4 and the highest for the BMW R1250 GS ADV. The price includes compulsory traffic insurance, a helmet and the daily mileage allowance. Amounts are read from the live list of the reservation system.
Are prices in euro or Turkish lira?
Daily prices are shown in euro on the English pages and in Turkish lira on the Turkish pages. The deposit, the airport delivery fee and comprehensive insurance are set in euro. You can pay in cash in euro, US dollars, pounds or Turkish lira, or by credit or debit card.
Is there a discount for weekly and monthly rentals?
Yes. Rentals of 7 days or more get a 10% discount and rentals of 30 days or more get a 20% discount. The exact total appears in the booking summary once you select your dates. To extend a rental while you are on the road, send a WhatsApp message and availability will be confirmed.
Can I rent by the hour? What is the minimum rental period?
There is no hourly rental. The minimum rental period is 24 hours (1 day). If the return is late, an overage fee of 350 Turkish lira is charged for each hour.
Is there a daily mileage limit?
Yes. The daily limit is 150 km for 50-500cc motorcycles, 200 km for 600-900cc and 250 km for 1000cc and above. Each kilometre over the limit is charged at €0.15.
What documents do I need on pickup day?
Your original driving licence (with an International Driving Permit if required), your passport or national ID card, and a credit or debit card for the deposit. Photocopies and digital copies are not accepted.
Licence and age
Which licence do I need for which motorcycle?
A 50cc scooter can be rented with a class B (car) licence. Models up to 125cc require an A1 licence, models up to 395cc an A2 licence, and larger motorcycles a full A licence. The licence class of each model is shown in the price list and on the model page.
Can I rent with a car (class B) licence?
Yes, with a class B licence you can rent a 50cc scooter. The model in our fleet that can be rented with a B licence: Yamaha NEOS 4. Models of 125cc and above require a motorcycle licence (A1, A2 or A).
Can I use my foreign driving licence in Turkey?
Yes. Licences from EU countries, the United Kingdom, Australia and most other countries are accepted. If your licence is not in the Latin alphabet, you also need an International Driving Permit together with the original licence.
What is the minimum age? Can I rent at 18?
No, you cannot rent at 18. The minimum age to rent a motorcycle is 21. For large-displacement motorcycles such as the BMW GS series, the minimum age is 25 and a full A licence is required.
Insurance and breakdown
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Compulsory traffic (third-party liability) insurance is included in every rental at no extra cost; it covers damage to other vehicles and injury to third parties. Comprehensive cover for damage to the rental motorcycle, theft and personal accident is optional and costs an additional €15 per day.
What is not covered by the included insurance?
Compulsory traffic insurance does not cover: damage to the rental motorcycle, theft of the motorcycle, tyre punctures, damage caused under the influence of alcohol or drugs, damage from racing or off-road use, and wilful negligence. Comprehensive cover at €15 per day protects against most of these.
What happens if the motorcycle breaks down?
Roadside assistance is provided 24/7 throughout Turkey. For a mechanical fault not caused by the rider, a replacement motorcycle is arranged or the lost rental days are refunded. Tyre punctures are the renter's responsibility.
Branches and delivery
In which cities do you rent motorcycles?
We have two branches: Istanbul (Şişli) and Antalya (Muratpaşa). In Istanbul we deliver to Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen, in Antalya to Antalya Airport. One-way rentals between the two branches are possible. We have no branch in other cities.
Can you deliver the motorcycle to my hotel?
Yes. We deliver to hotels in Taksim, Beşiktaş, Kadıköy and Sultanahmet in Istanbul, and in Lara, Konyaaltı and Kaleiçi in Antalya. The delivery fee depends on the distance; give the hotel name and address when you book and the exact amount is confirmed on WhatsApp.
Do you deliver to the airport, and what does it cost?
Yes. Pickup and return are available at Istanbul Airport (IST), Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) and Antalya Airport (AYT). The fee is €60 one way; each direction is charged separately. Give your flight number when you book and the handover time is adjusted if the flight is delayed.
Can I return the motorcycle to a different branch or location?
Yes. One-way rentals between the Istanbul and Antalya branches are possible. Returns at locations around Istanbul such as Şile, Sapanca and Yalova can also be arranged for an additional delivery fee. Availability and the fee are confirmed when you book.
What are your opening hours?
The Istanbul branch is open Monday to Friday 09:00-20:00 and Saturday 09:00-18:00, and is closed on Sunday. The Antalya branch is open every day 08:30-20:00. Airport handovers outside these hours are possible by prior arrangement. You can write on WhatsApp at any time; messages are answered during opening hours.
Payment and deposit
How much is the deposit?
A security deposit is taken at pickup for first-time rentals: €150 for scooters, €300 for manual motorcycles, €500 for adventure motorcycles and €700 for premium large-displacement motorcycles. It is refunded in full when the motorcycle is returned in the agreed condition.
When and how do I pay?
A prepayment of 20% of the rental price is taken when you book and the balance is paid at pickup. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup. We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), cash (euro, US dollars, pounds, Turkish lira) and bank transfer for advance bookings. The deposit is taken separately at pickup.
Cancellation and changes
What happens if I cancel my booking?
If you cancel at least 48 hours before the pickup time, the prepayment is refunded in full. For later cancellations and no-shows, the prepayment is not refunded. Refunds are made via iyzico to the card used for payment and can take 3 to 14 business days to appear. Date or model changes are free up to 48 hours before pickup, subject to availability.
What if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
If your flight is delayed, send a WhatsApp message and the pickup time is adjusted at no charge. If your flight is cancelled, tell us as soon as possible; cancellation and refund follow the delivery and refund terms.
