Best Routes
From the Bosphorus to Cappadocia. 15 curated roads across Turkey for every kind of rider.

Istanbul
Rumeli Feneri
Follow the Bosphorus shore north through Bebek's waterfront cafés, past the 15th-century Rumeli Hisarı fortress, and all the way to the Black Sea. Two continents, one strait, zero rivals.

Istanbul
Ağva
Escape to Istanbul's Black Sea coast. Şile's clifftop lighthouse and sandy beach, then on to Ağva where two rivers spill into the sea.

Antalya
Kaş
One of Turkey's most scenic coastal roads. Twisting clifftop tarmac above the turquoise Mediterranean, through pine forests to the bohemian harbour town of Kaş and the white-washed village of Kalkan.

Antalya
Alanya
The classic Turkish Riviera run. Wide coastal highway, banana plantations, and the dramatic silhouette of Alanya's Seljuk citadel rising above the sea. Fast, flat and endlessly blue.

Fethiye
Ölüdeniz
The Lycian Coast at its most photogenic. Wind through Fethiye's ancient rock tombs, then drop down to the surreal blue lagoon of Ölüdeniz — one of the most photographed beaches in the world.

Antalya
Olympos
Leave Antalya south through the Taurus foothills, past Kemer's marina and into the ancient Lycian valley of Olympos — where Roman ruins sit in a canyon next to the sea.

Bodrum
Bodrum Peninsula
Loop the Bodrum Peninsula's dramatic headlands — Türkbükü, Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük, and the windmill ridge back to Bodrum Castle. Turquoise coves at every bend.

Cappadocia
Ürgüp
Ride between the fairy chimneys of Göreme, through the rose and red valleys, past underground cities to Ürgüp's cave-hotel ridge. The most otherworldly road in Turkey.

İzmir
Ephesus
Ride south from İzmir through the Aegean lowlands to the ancient ruins of Ephesus and the hillside town of Selçuk. One of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world, no traffic.

Denizli
Pamukkale
Short and spectacular. Ride through Denizli's cotton fields to the snow-white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ruined Roman spa city of Hierapolis above.

Antalya
Side
East along the Antalya plain to the ancient Roman harbour town of Side — columns and temple ruins standing on a peninsula between two beaches. End at the Manavgat waterfall.

Trabzon
Uzungöl
The Black Sea mountains at their wildest. Climb through tea plantations and dense hazel forest from Trabzon to the legendary highland lake of Uzungöl. Tight hairpins, low cloud, zero crowds.

Safranbolu
Safranbolu
A short ride from Karabük into a UNESCO-listed Ottoman market town frozen in time. Timber-framed mansions, cobbled lanes, and the scent of saffron in the air.

Çanakkale
Çanakkale
Loop the Gallipoli Peninsula's memorial sites and pine forests, then cross the Dardanelles on the ferry to ancient Troy. History at every kilometre.

Antalya
Düden Şelalesi
Antalya's compact city loop. The old Roman harbour of Kaleiçi, the cliffside promenade, and the Düden waterfalls where a river drops straight into the Mediterranean.

For 50cc scooters, a standard car licence (category B) is sufficient. For 51-125cc bikes (A1 category), you need a motorcycle licence valid for that category. For 126-500cc motorcycles (A2), you need an A2 licence. For anything above 500cc, a full A licence is required. EU licences are accepted. Riders from outside the EU must carry an International Driving Permit alongside their national licence.
