The F800 GS Adventure is built for riders who want to go anywhere. Its 800cc parallel twin handles everything from Istanbul's cobblestones to mountain gravel tracks.
The BMW F800 GS Adventure is the agile member of the GS family: noticeably lighter than the R1250 yet with genuine off-road geometry and touring equipment. A full A licence is required; its stand-up-friendly ergonomics make it a master of mixed-surface routes.
The 21-inch front wheel inspires confidence on gravel; the Kilyos dunes area, the Karaburun coast and the Çilingoz nature park route are a special kind of fun on the F800 GS. In town, the tall seating lets you read traffic from above.
Third-party insurance and a helmet are included; the deposit is €500. It's the pick for riders wanting a true GS experience that's lighter and more economical than the R1250.
The F800 is lighter, easier to manage and more agile on dirt-heavy plans. The R1250 is the summit of power, comfort and presence — unmatched on long tarmac tours. Mostly gravel/mixed? F800. Mostly tarmac miles? R1250.
No formal limit, but due to the seat height we do a fit check at handover for riders under 170 cm. The lower-seated NC750X is a good alternative.
